Had cat out today still lifting up so put lead in to try and bring it flat but otherwise ran well see you Sunday all being well :D :D

ouch more weight? will prop not adjust up and down a little for a bit of pitch?

it keeps lifting on left hand side and the frunt keeps trying to dive under water at speed

it a large cat with a 26 cc zan eng and a 2 3/4 " prop

the same size as is on now i think i have lifted the prop up a little and got rid of the large water scoup under the boat i hope this will help :idea:

5'6" long or 5-6" long.?

Most cats will tend to veer right on high speed straights and also lift the front sponsom a bit too.
Is your fuel tank in the left sponson looking form the back?

yes trying but ever time i put it in the water something else got damaged i hope i am there now it ran ok but for the lifting see if takeing that water scope off makes a dif

5' 6" long the fuel tank is on left there was one on each side but took right out on monday to see if that helped but no

wow 66" long,thats abig boat,usually the bigger cats are easier to setup.
Where is the cofg measured at?
Strut height? level with the bottom of the boat?

yes struts are level with botom of boat the boat was made by red bank models so i though it would be good to run it has had prob from the start

No comment on redbank!
thought the motor looked a bit big for a 66" boat.lol :lol:
Is it your first gas boat? they can be very unreliable,the lads at the lake will tell you that for sure.

We'll have a good gander next time we are up at Fleetwood.Either this sunday or next.
try to get decent video, of it running,might help with some clues of whats goin' wrong.

no not first gas boat it starts well eng is fineit was runing ok but now it started to lift on left hand side it could of been the large water scope i put under the boat on left hand side i will try it without useing old water pick ups hope to see you down this sunday or next thanks for your help

Gaz I found it his fuel tank is further back than mine thats the only diff i can see at moment :P

tank wants to be on the cofg on a cat so as not to upset the balance when the tank is emptying.
Monos not quite as critical.
try raising the strut even higher than it is.He could also place a wet towel in various places in the boat to see if its balanced ok,does it run better down wind or against the wind?

have you finished the Mercury yet gaz?

it seems to run the same in and out of wind , it trys to dig in fast and slow it looks to me there no weight in the rear of the boat but thats me
